Ingredients German Carrot Celery Salad
5-6 medium size carrots
1/2 celery root
2 tbsp. crème fraiche or yoghurt
3-4 tbsp vinegar
3-4 tbsp sunflower, olive or safflower oil
salt, pepper to taste
1 tbsp parsley and/or chives
Cooking Instructions German Carrot Celery Salad
– Grate carrots and celery root.
– Chop the herbs fine.
– Mix the herbs with the crème fraiche/yoghurt.
– Combine the cream with carrots, add vinegar, oil, salt and pepper to taste.
Let sit for 10 minutes before you serve this delicious salad with fresh bread and butter. Tastes great as a cold supper with cheese and cold cuts, salami and ham.
